Evergreen Legal is a social impact boutique law firm that works at the intersection of law, policy, and communications, in collaboration with its sister organization Evergreen Strategy Group. Evergreen Legal is seeking an Associate or Staff Attorney with experience in litigation and legal writing.
As part of the Evergreen team, you will help craft legal strategies and litigate on some of the most pressing issues, including gun violence prevention, election integrity, and anti-corruption.
Job responsibilities will vary depending on the role but will include playing critical roles on litigation teams, in developing legal and regulatory strategy, and in maintaining client and partner relationships.
For the Associate position, Evergreen Legal offers a base salary ranging from $110,000 - $135,000, in addition to a generous commission and bonus package and our industry-leading 401K matching program, health plan, and PTO policy.
Experience and qualifications for this role include:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership required. Membership in the D.C. bar, or ability to become a member, required.
- A minimum of two years of legal experience. Federal clerkship preferred but not required.
- Litigation experience strongly preferred; understanding of constitutional law and administrative law preferred but not required.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and editing skills, with a track record of producing high-quality legal documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to quickly translate legal complexity for diverse audiences.
- Ability to think creatively to address complex issues.
For the Staff Attorney position, Evergreen Legal offers a base salary of $130,000 - $155,000, in addition to a generous commission and bonus package and our industry-leading 401K matching program, health plan, and PTO policy.
